Product Operations Manager ensures that the product or service is working (functional and non-functional) as designed by the Product Manager (Business Product Owner) with the product strategy and vision. They are responsible for the product and services performance in the ‘in-life’ phase of the product lifecycle and the gatekeeper for the stability of the product and services. 

 

As such:

  • Application/Product/Services monitoring, alerting & performance reporting
  • Incident response and communication process
  • Defect resolution management (pro-active based on experimentation / monitoring)
  • Product production documentation incl. FAQs and run books
  • Digital Operational Model design and implementation
  • Automation of processes and procedures
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of one / multiple products and services
  • Interaction with Product Manager, Product Solution Manager and HRS Backoffice & Data Teams

 

A Product Operations Manager is responsible for:

  • Execute 2nd/3rd level product support across teams and products
  • Monitor product performance metrics and manage incident management routines between development teams and customers
  • Own the operation processes and SLAs associated with products
  • Provide appropriate knowledge base and support management to internal stakeholders, suppliers and customers
  • Develop and execute product marketing artifacts and communications with the development teams
  • Report on product performance based on diverse systems including, databases, logging and monitoring, web analysis and project management tools
  • ** Specify and create requirements to improve or extend product capabilities (PO)
  • ** Collaborate with Quality Assurance roles in the development teams for 2nd level product support (QA)
  • ** Prepare on upcoming feature releases  ensuring all factors of DoD and DoR have been met (Scrum teams)

Core skills

JIRA, Confluence, Python, RPA, Systems observability & monitoring, Product Management & Systems Engineering experience working with technical teams (Engineering, UX, Data, etc.). Project Management skills, Presentation and Training skills, Troubleshooting methods, SQL, BPMN or UML, API testing (SOAPUI/Postman), AI/ML framework (Tensorflow, Keras,Sci-kit Learn, AWS SageMaker)
