We are looking for an APAC based "Chief Technology Officer - Travel FinTech (m/f/d)" who is a strategic business and tech leader, which mission is to drive the success of the holistic HRS Pay2Reimburse ecosystem. 

HRS operates globally with technology innovation hubs in Germany, Ukraine, Poland, Vietnam. The engineering mission of HRS is to build a scalable, resilient, and secure platform to serve our global customers. HRS is seeking an inspirational Chief Technology Officer for HRS Travel FinTech who is an evangelist for technology-driven solutions and will attract, develop, and lead HRS’s Payment Technology organization. 


Your Challenge

  • Is responsible for all product functions to realize the vision of providing an invisible and integrated solution for global corporates and travelers to digitally master the holistic travel cost challenge through end-2-end travel payment, expense management, Reimbursement, and VAT Integration
  • Lead and develop our global technology team in Ho-Chi-Minh City, Berlin, and Cologne
  • Transform the technology architecture to support the Company’s growth ambitions, build scalable and durable platform solutions, and buy and customize best-in-class software products
  • Establish engineering processes for software development metrics, DevOps, quantitative techniques, and quality control
  • Manage the selection and interdependencies of programming languages, frameworks, operating systems, internet-cloud, web-application servers, databases, and mobile
  • Manage the software development lifecycle by collaborating across teams to evolve SDLC, including functional requirements analysis, design specification, technical code review, project planning, and implementation of applications and systems
  • Contribute to go-to-market strategy and support our sales experts with your expertise and network
  • Engage into strategic customer and market opportunities to drive the commercial success of HRS
  • Work closely with the product leadership team to align technology strategy with internal and customer expectations
  • Work with stakeholders to develop requirements, ascertain priorities, and report progress
  • Provide leadership as Company’s top technology expert and peer partner on the executive management team. Collaborate closely with CEO and other executive leaders
  • Expand company-wide culture of data-driven thinking. Ensure data collection and availability across all dimensions of our products, internal tools, and business metrics


Your Commitment

  • Has a master's degree or equivalent business experience
  • 5+ years of progressively increasing responsibility to lead and coordinate distinct functions within a global and/or distributed technology organization, both onshore and offshore (Managerial experience: 100+ people)
  • Vast Experience with cloud technologies including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, and/or Microsoft Azure
  • Ability to engage with customers and partners on a strategic level to support and drive our sales success
  • Experience building technology for secure environments that contain sensitive information (e.g., consumer profiles, financial information, regulatory filings, etc.)
  • Familiar with organizational design, capacity planning, recruiting, and proven ability to scale teams 2x+
  • Strategic planning (building roadmaps, difficult tradeoffs, decision frameworks) to achieve business goals aligned to HRS mission and current growth stage
  • Agile driven product development experience
  • Ability to own and manage multiple concurrent projects, including presenting and negotiating with stakeholders and customers on the interdependencies and possibilities of what can realistically be delivered
  • Responsibility for product delivery and management including development tools and technologies, release and version control, contemporary testing methodologies, and deployment management
  • Previous exposure to and/or experience with financial institutions, banking systems, credit card schemes/issuers, etc. is a plus
  • Fluent English language skills, in written and spoken
