From Financial and Cash Flow Management, to Accounting, Long-Term Financing, Tax Management, Investment Strategy, Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting, Forecasting, and comprehensive Financial Reporting and Analysis. POSITION

We are looking for a Cologne based Accountant (all genders) who will be responsible for managing and analyzing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role will part of our international accounting team and will report into the Team Lead Accounting.  

CHALLENGE

  • Independently manage general ledger and sub-ledger activities, ensuring accurate balance sheet account reconciliation
  • Oversee the proper processing of all accounting transactions
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in compliance with German accounting principles (HGB)
  • Ensure deadlines and priorities are understood and met

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Commercial training with a focus on financial accounting or comparable training / study
  • Several years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Practical knowledge of accounting in accordance with HGB
  • Experience in comprehensive accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, sub-ledger, general ledger, and accrual accounting.
  • Good understanding of national sales tax law
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems (currently MS Navision, transitioning to SAP)
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a strong attention to detail
  • A proactive, committed, and team-oriented approach, combined with the ability to work independently and responsibly.
  • Fluent in German (minimum B2 level), with good English proficiency

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
