HRS’ advanced platform technology is extending its reach beyond hospitality to meetings, office space management, payment efficiency and crisis recovery.
POSITION
As an experienced Senior Software Engineer, you will work in an agile team to technologically advance our PMS (Property Management System) and implement new features for this vacation rental product and attached modules. In addition, you will actively work on the big picture of the architecture and on the API interaction of the various products in order to create a uniform overall product portfolio.
The core part of the PMS product represents a typical PHP/mySQL tech stack, but the system is evolving towards service orientation and AWS cloud technologies – a perfect moment to be at the forefront of the technological modernization of a successful product.
Based on your interests, you can familiarize yourself with cloud technologies, work with modern monitoring tools or contribute to architectural discussions. You can get involved in various areas in addition to product-related software development, from security topics to the use of AI in development to the evaluation of new technologies – we are used to working closely together beyond team boundaries and training each other.
CHALLENGE
• Fullstack development of our PMS product written in PHP
• Further feature development in PHP or serverless in AWS
• Implementation of interfaces and APIs to other DS products
• Strong and active member of an agile team, including Product Owner support and cross-team collaboration
• Active part of a team of engineers with regards to defining overarching technical concepts and practices
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...
• Proven work experience of at least 5 years in the field of software development
• Solid understanding of the programming language PHP and ideally also of the Symfony Framework
• Additional knowledge in React, Node.js and Typescript/JavaScript is an advantage
• Experience with database systems (i.e. MySQL, MongoDB)
• Competence in AWS and serverless architectures is an advantage
• AI based Development and Tooling Knowhow is absolutely welcome
• Good understanding of Scrum/Agile methodologies
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• High sense of responsibility and goal-oriented way of working
