We are looking for a Sydney-based Accounts Payable Supervisor (m/f/d)  for the smooth operations of the Accounts Payable (AP) department. Reporting into the Director of Finance, your responsibilities will include management of the Sydney-based AP Officers, the management of the relationship with third parties and all other internal and external stakeholders (local  management, suppliers, clients etc).  The AP Supervisor needs to ensure a high-quality service is provided to all stakeholders including suppliers (hotels and properties, and other service providers). #LI-RS1

Your challenges

  • Supervise and direct the AP Officers and ensure the team complies with all accepted HRS policies, procedures and best practices as updated by the business
  • Manage and maintain the AP ledger, update supplier records and prepare appropriate reports as and when required
  • Manage the supplier payment runs, including electronic bank transfers, credit card and foreign currency payments in accordance with suppliers’ payment terms, ensuring accuracy and in line with HRS’ booking systems
  • Manage the quarantine and dispute levels, ensuring all outstanding queries are kept to a minimum and issues are resolved quickly
  • Identify any process or system improvements and efficiencies, ensuring any changes or roll outs are approved and implemented with no issues
  • Develop and support the AP Officers ensuring all are trained to the highest standard and create succession planning
  • Reconcile third party (non-property) supplier statements and invoices on-time for Finance
  • Prepare AP management reporting and support the broader Finance team with additional reporting requirements
  • Supervise general office administration tasks (mail, faxes, scanning and filing documents, data entry, answering phones etc.) and further tasks as required

 

Your commitment

  • Computer competency on a recognised accounting package
  • Previous experience working in a Senior Accounts Payable role
  • Experience leading an AP team
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high volumes
  • Excellent verbal,written communication and problem solving skills
  • Diploma and/or degree holder
