System Support Engineer (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Sydney based System Support Engineer (m/f/d) to support the Australasia team. You will be tasked with solving complex technical issues and will also collaborate with team members across all departments and hierarchies to assist them with their technical requirements. 

 

Your challenges #LI-RS1

  • Oversee & Manage IT/Communication systems on a daily basis to ensure business uptime of 100%.
  • Provide functional and technical support for supported applications.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot problems over the phone and on-site with network connections, provide 1st and 2nd level support for computer issues, Internet, e-mail, printing, phone, software and hardware devices. If necessary escalate matters to higher authorities and third parties. 
  • To administer new staff joining and staff leaving procedures.
  • To provide admin support to Business Units as and when required.
  • System performance monitoring, reporting and escalating – analyze resource usage, work out root cause and provide solutions.
  • Administer Active Directory changes.
  • Manage PCI-DSS daily / weekly / monthly / yearly tasks.
  • Maintain and update training manual.
  • Assist in integrating with third parties and channel manager API.
  • Be the central contact for all IT contractors.

  • To prioritize and conduct operational duties.
  • To administer new staff joining and staff leaving procedures.
  • To provide admin support to Business Units as and when required.
  • System performance monitoring, reporting and escalating – analyze resource usage, work out root cause and provide solution
  • Rollout software release / update / changes/ roll back.
  • Administer Active Directory changes.
  • Manage PCI-DSS daily / weekly / monthly / yearly tasks.
  • Maintain and update training manual.
  • Ensure daily backup of server files take place.
  • Assist in integrating with third parties and channel manager API.
  • Be the central contact for all IT contractor.

 

Your commitment

  • Successful completion of apprenticeship as a IT Specialist (system integration or application development) or similar 
  • Several years of working experience in 1st or 2nd Level Support
  • Understanding of ITIL Processes and knowledge in ITSM tool(s)
  • Knowledge in software distribution, update- and client management, SCCM and Intunes preferred
  • ITIL (v3 or v4) Certification is preferred, but not required
  • Willingness to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion
  • Analytical skills to study problems and records and identify solutions
  • Passion to proactively and constantly improve status-quo on all levels
  • Team-oriented attitude to help other colleagues and departments with technical problems
  • Interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work with all levels off staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization
  • Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
  • Ability to manage time and effectively prioritize numerous projects at one time
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written
