POSITION

Engineering Team Lead APIs (all genders)

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Lead, APIs (all genders) to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will collaborate with international development teams and lead the development team to enhance existing APIs and build new capabilities that will be utilized by major partners across the globe. Our APIs power over 70% of HRS’ business, making runtime reliability and performance for partners worldwide a top priority.

CHALLENGE

Leadership & Team Development:

• Take full responsibility for team development, mentoring, and growth.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
• Conduct regular performance reviews with constructive feedback and address skill gaps.

API Development & Management:

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of secure, scalable APIs.
• Collaborate with international teams to enhance API functionalities and drive the technical direction of API architecture.
• Ensure APIs meet performance, reliability, and security standards.

Process Optimization:

• Optimize development processes for smooth, consistent delivery, using best practices like Agile.
• Improve the reliability and performance of APIs and streamline CI/CD pipelines.

Stakeholder Management:

• Work closely with Product Management on new initiatives and serve as the primary contact for API-related matters.
• Align API development with business goals through collaboration with various stakeholders.

Technical Excellence:

• Stay updated with industry trends in API development and foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Encourage the use of modern tools and frameworks to boost productivity and quality.
   

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

Experience: At least 5 years in Java programming, modern cloud software architectures, leading teams of 10+ engineers, and managing Scrum teams.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in API design, development, and management
• Experience with containerized applications using ECS or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
• Expertise in runtime reliability and performance optimization.

Personal Attributes: Highly self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work in a global team, and fluency in English.
