POSITION

We are looking for a Financial Accountant (all genders) directly reporting to the Head of Finance to join our team. The role can be performed up to 100% remotely with the option to also work in one of the offices in Munich or Berlin. 

CHALLENGE

• Recording and monitoring all business transactions, including incoming and outgoing invoices, payments, and bank transactions 
• Conducting bank reconciliations and account reconciliations in the general ledger and subsidiary ledger 
• Managing accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoicing, payment monitoring, and collections 
• Checking, coding, and posting travel expense reports 
• Preparing and submitting monthly group financial statements and reports to the parent company  
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual financial statements according to HGB 
• Being the contact person for the CEO/CFO/Head of Finance regarding accounting matters 
• Contributing to the optimization of processes and systems to enhance the efficiency of the finance department  
• Being the contact person for tax advisors and auditors  

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

• Completed commercial training or a degree in business administration
• Several years professional experience as an accountant 
• Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting 
• Solid experience in using ERP systems (preferably Business Central or comparable ERP systems) 
• Experience in comprehensive representation of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and asset ledger in both, subledger and general ledger, as well as proper revenue recognition 
• Experience in payment processing through a payment service provider is advantageous 
• Professional knowledge of accounting according to German Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (HGB) 
• Very good numerical understanding and analytical skills combined with good organizational and structure skills 
• High sense of responsibility, reliability, as well as a diligent, goal-oriented, problem-solving and independent work style 
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel 
• Fluent German and good English skills - verbally and written with a proactive approach
