POSITION

The Pre-Sales Consultant supports as technical sales in client engagements and during sales for HRS. Their responsibilities are multifaceted, ranging from educating prospects and clients about the LaaS platform's capabilities to providing technical insights and support. 

Firstly, they act as knowledgeable resources, guiding prospects/clients on how the HRS Multisource Engine and adjoining solutions embed in their travel landscape. They also support the sales team by understanding client needs, mapping our unique TravelTech ecosystem, and helping investigate potential solutions for complex requirements. 

Additionally, the consultants provide technical demos and insights to showcase the platform's value proposition during sales efforts. They serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries, ensuring prompt and accurate assistance to both the sales team and prospects/clients during their sales journey. 

Moreover, the Consultant engages in strategic consultations, providing valuable insights into product features and contributing to the consolidating of product roadmaps. They also play a crucial role in training internal teams, enhancing collaboration, and driving product development efforts in line with client needs. 

Overall, the Pre-Sales consultant fulfills critical functions that enhance client satisfaction, drive sales effectiveness, and ensure alignment across internal teams to deliver maximum value to clients. 

 

CHALLENGE

  • Collaborate with sales teams to support developing winning strategies
  • Consult clients/prospects on existing and upcoming product features, their configuration and their integration capabilities
  • Understand and map customer travel ecosystem to HRS platform capabilities
  • Investigate and document customer requirements to complete the defined exit criteria during the Sales process
  • Identify potential risks for the following implementation and pro-actively engage in and own the solution engineering with internal resources, customers and 3rd parties
  • Refine and structure clients’ requirements for new products or needed adjustments/extensions
  • Support delivery functions during implementation projects
  • Facilitate and manage product increments based on client requirements - working alongside delivery & service projects
  • Act as backup for the delivery projects relevant to the core markets
  • Support internal product and engineering functions with use cases, information flows and mockups in feature scoping as well as in the prioritization
  • Build a trusted relationship with relevant partners
  • Support product development functions in the documentation of new product features with respect to clients’ use cases and integrations to their used systems
  • Support BI functions to enhance reporting services towards the customer’s needs
  • Train internal functions on the product use cases, their features as well as their configuration capabilities

Strong understanding of sales processes and methodologies.
Deep understanding of the TravelTech space and main players
Ability to understand customer requirements and translate those into a solution design
Multi-faceted problem-solving with the ability to investigate across products, systems and processes and find alternative approaches/solutions
Proficiency in preparing technical proposals and documentation.
Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with sales and technical teams.
Ability to articulate technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers/prospects.
Ability to manage multiple pre-sales projects simultaneously.
Experience in coordinating with various internal teams (e.g., sales, technical, support) to ensure seamless service delivery.
Professional stakeholder management with customers/prospects and partners
Previous experience in project management/implementation
Functional understanding of SaaS solutions with respect to web applications and APIs
Familiarity of Jira, Asana, and/or other project management tools preferred.
Preferably knowledge in Online Booking Tools (e.g., SAP Concur, Amadeus Cytric, KDS), Global Distribution Systems (e.g. Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport), Hotel Chain Reservation Systems (e.g. Marriott, Hilton, IHG), eRFP Systems (e.g. Lanyon, SabreRFP), Travel Agency Desktops (e.g. BCD, CWD, Amex GBT)
Preferably previous work experience at Travel Management Company, OBT and ideally in Pre-Sales/Consulting or Delivery function
Commitment to staying updated with the latest technologies and industry developments.
Awareness of industry trends and competitive landscape.
Ability to quickly learn new tools, technologies, and methodologies.
Fluent in German and English

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

Location: Berlin or Cologne 
The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
