 The HRS Data & Analytics Platform is one of the key enablers of HRS GROUP’s tech- and data driven business travel solutions. State of the art services and solutions like strategic consulting & hotel procurement, travel payment and expense solutions or efficient tools to manage corporate meetings and group booking facilitate the travel processes and guarantee savings along the value chain.

Around 50 Data Specialists (Analysts, Scientists and Engineers) work together in our Data Community to create analytics solutions that serve our corporate customers, hotel partners, internal stakeholders, and millions of business travelers worldwide.

HRS Data & Analytics leverage a rich data landscape (spend data, booking data, rate data, web analytics data, etc.) turning raw data into actionable insights to provide (semi-) automated decision support to customers and business stakeholders with advanced analytical solutions. We bring state-of-the-art algorithms in production, to enhance Search & Booking experience (with personalized recommendations) or optimize the corporate hotel portfolio to the objectives of customers and the needs of the travelers.



We are looking for an exceptionally talented Data Engineer - Machine Learning (all genders) to join our team in Mohali, India and be part of our larger TravelTech value proposition to our Business Travel Customers. This opportunity brings the ideal candidate as close as possible to your stakeholders (analytics consumers), and HRS customers, allowing you to have maximum impact and influence, as you build data products, fueled with intelligence, that transform how businesses STAY, WORK, and PAY


  • Build data products for our TravelTech customer value proposition together with software engineers, data engineers, and product managers that unlock exponential value for our customers and travelers.
  • Act as a change agent in the transition towards a data-driven organization
  • Present actionable insights using strong data visualization and communication to support the strategic direction of data-governance plan
  • Responsible for extracting meaningful insights from data, creating light data pipelines when needed, and delivering results through one-off analyses, operational dashboards and reports, or product-ready machine learning workloads
  • Build and maintain value-adding analytic outputs (dashboards, reports, ML models) to continuously support our customer value delivery in our TravelTech customer value proposition.
  • Translate business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using statistical methods, machine learning and/or bleeding-edge AI techniques.
  • Apply state-of-the-art statistical, machine learning, deep learning and transformer-based architecture methods to solve specific business problems and data.


  • 4+ years of work experience in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, Economics or a related quantitative
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in STEM with experience as a data scientist in delivering end-to-end data science projects with measurable business impact.
  • Excellent experience with SQL and advanced knowledge of Python (PySpark and SparkSQL is preferred)
  • Experience with AWS technologies like EC2, AWS Glue, Athena, S3, SageMaker, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Visualization tools like MicroStrategy, PowerBI, etc.
  • Experience in advanced analytics projects involving cross-functional teams.
  • Hands-on experience with various machine learning techniques to address business problems, and key parameters that affect their performance.
  • Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large amounts (Millions to Billions of rows) of data
  • Combination of deep technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within our customer’s organization
  • Demonstrable record of accomplishment of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to data scientists, engineering teams and business audiences
  • Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations
  • Fluent in English is a MUST

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
