Data & Analytics Platform

The HRS Data & Analytics Platform is one of the key enablers of HRS GROUP’s tech- and data driven business travel solutions. State of the art services and solutions like strategic consulting & hotel procurement, travel payment and expense solutions or efficient tools to manage corporate meetings and group booking facilitate the travel processes and guarantee savings along the value chain.

Around 50 Data Specialists (Analysts, Scientists and Engineers) work together in our Data Community to create analytics solutions that serve our corporate customers, hotel partners, internal stakeholders, and millions of business travelers worldwide.

HRS Data & Analytics leverage a rich data landscape (spend data, booking data, rate data, web analytics data, etc.) turning raw data into actionable insights to provide (semi-) automated decision support to customers and business stakeholders with advanced analytical solutions. We bring state-of-the-art algorithms in production, to enhance Search & Booking experience (with personalized recommendations) or optimize the corporate hotel portfolio to the objectives of customers and the needs of the travelers.

POSITION

We are looking for an India based Data Science Manager (m/f/d) to work out of Chandigarh/Mohali office to lead our Data Science team in India to develop a long-term roadmap for analytic capabilities.

As a exceptionally talented leader in the team, you will be driving the analytics roadmap and will provide descriptive and predictive solutions to the product management teams at HRS Group through a combination of data mining techniques as well as use statistical and machine learning techniques for segmentation and prediction. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. You will have leadership for our team of data scientists and play an integral role in strategic decision-making. #LI-RS1

CHALLENGE

. Manage a team of data scientists, identify opportunities and develop data science strategies.

· Translate business questions and concerns into specific analytical questions that can be answered with available data using statistical methods.

· Apply Statistical and Machine Learning methods to specific business problems and data.

· Ensure data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including such areas as data sourcing/collection, ground truth generation, normalization, transformation, cross-lingual alignment/mapping, etc.

· Communicate proposals and results in a clear manner backed by data and coupled with actionable conclusions to drive business decisions.

· Collaborate with colleagues from multidisciplinary science, engineering and business backgrounds.

· Work with engineers to develop efficient data querying and modeling infrastructure.

· Manage your own process. Prioritize and execute high impact projects, triage external requests, and ensure to deliver projects in time.

· Utilizing code (Python, R, Scala, etc.) for analyzing data and building statistical models.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

.

· 5 - 7 years of work experience in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Operation Research, Economics or a related quantitative

· Bachelor or Masters degree in STEM with 2+ years of experience managing teams

· Experience with AWS technologies like EC2, AWS Glue, S3, Sagemaker and AWS AI Services like Amazon Personalize, Fraud Detector, etc.

· Experience in projects involving cross-functional teams

· Knowledge of various machine learning techniques and key parameters that affect their performance

· Depth and breadth in quantitative knowledge. Excellent quantitative modeling, statistical analysis skills and problem-solving skills

· Experience processing, filtering, and presenting large quantities (Millions to Billions of rows) of data

· Combination of deep technical skills and business savvy enough to interface with all levels and disciplines within our customer’s organization

· Demonstrable track record of dealing well with ambiguity, prioritizing needs, and delivering results in a dynamic environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively advocate technical solutions to research scientists, engineering teams and business audiences

· Ability to develop experimental and analytic plans for data modeling processes, use of strong baselines, ability to accurately determine cause and effect relations

· Fluency in English is a MUST

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
