We are looking for a Cologne based (Senior) Compliance Manager / Officer (m/f/d) in strengthening the internal control and compliance system within HRS.


Your challenges 

  • Ownership of regulatory and compliance topics of the global HRS Group
  • Manage, develop and oversee HRS’ compliance management system to prevent violations of legislation, legal guidelines and internal policies.
  • Provide oversight of and support in the implementation of compliance policies, guidelines, and procedures and design and deliver compliance training. 
  • Participate in Global Compliance Committee meetings and report updates to Leadership.
  • Conduct appropriate due diligence assessments of suppliers and business partners, especially those with higher-risk. 
  • Partner with a cross-functional team to complete compliance projects that mitigate HRS’ overall legal and regulatory risks. 
  • Prepare clear and concise compliance reports in a timely manner. 
  • Provide leadership for implementation of the Company’s Ethics and Compliance program worldwide and promoting the Company’s culture of integrity. 
  • Monitor developments related to compliance, anticorruption enforcement, and other compliance-related matters, and escalate updates with stakeholders as appropriate. 
  • Lead and conduct internal investigations of allegations of non-compliance.
  • Engage with outside advisor, auditors, customers and authorities in support of any compliance-related activities, as needed. 


Your commitment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in law, finance, business administration or related field, first and second state law exam in Germany, qualification in Business Law (Wirtschaftsjurist).
  • Certified compliance professional is a plus.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as compliance manager.
  • Relevant experience and understanding of the tourism, technology or financial services sector, preferably in banking, capital markets and trading as well as related regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to manage projects effectively; 
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and work as part of a team, able to build relationships across and outside the department; 
  • Ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience at multiple levels within the Company and in various formats; 
  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, multi-task, and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment.
