The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is the Business Unit managing and developing the HRS E-Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of and HOTEL.DE that gradually transform into much more than “just” a platform. BTC provides its members, individual business travelers and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s upgraded travel experience. The goal of BTC is to deliver growth as well as sustainable profitability over time by enhancing customer loyalty between the Brand and its Customers, enabling the Brands Repositioning in the marketplace and unlocking additional potentials via optimized Supplier Management. Thus, BTC and its products, plays an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy as it revolves around a disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and a domination of the Business Travel DACH market. 
Your mission is to further develop and shape the "The HRS Business Travel Club" and its solutions and make it the next innovation of the HRS Group together with a great team.


In the responsible management position, the Director Product Marketing & Engagement (m/w/d) takes on the responsibility to shape the company's product marketing and customer engagement strategies as well as the execution of these. Thus, you demonstrate a market-driven ethos inspired by a deep understanding of the consumers, coupled with an ability to translate this information into data-driven and compelling product solutions and proposals. Your strategic thinking is well balanced by an equal commercial focus and an ability to lead the development and deployment of products and marketing campaigns inclusive of; product branding, consumer segmentation, product positioning, and product messaging. As you are the “glue” that binds our product strategy to the tactics we need to drive success in sales and marketing, the position is located as an important interface between the requirements and needs of customers and business partners and collaborates closely with product development. 
The position is a member of the management board of BTC and reports to its CEO.


  • Cross-location management of a team of around 8 people in the areas of brand and product marketing, customer engagement marketing & loyalty as well as marketing automation
  • Merge customer behavior insights with product development initiatives to build a prime-like system which makes suppliers and customer stick 
  • Derive engagement marketing vision and implement the application of according strategies through cross-collaborative projects 
  • Develop and steer the product messaging of our e-Commerce products and services to different audiences and across all channels, whilst ensuring a cohesive Brand Positioning 
  • Develop product messaging, in close collaboration with Product Management, that differentiates new products and services 
  • Set up adequate Marketing tools and Campaigns to attract and engage relevant audiences 
  • Gain insight into customer use of services aiming at maximizing engagement and loyalty
  • Understanding the industry, product strategy, customer behavior and how the HRS Business Travel Club solutions add value along the customer´s journey
  • Communicate the value of new products and services to the sales and marketing teams
  • Leading Campaign & Storytelling Experts to execute, measure and optimize campaigns


  • A successfully completed university degree, preferably in the field of Business Administration 
  • Strong expertise in Product Marketing, Multi-Channel Marketing, Communications and preferably Engagement Marketing/Loyalty expertise within the e-commerce, retail or payment sector and in a fast paced environment 
  • Being a creative thinker with a strategic vision and paying attention to details
  • Understand and document our buyer’s process, including where they get information, and the who, what, when and why behind the decisions they make. Then drive changes to our sales and marketing processes based on what you learn.
  • Leading and overseeing the marketing plan and all strategies, backed up by technology and automation logics, in order to maximize and enhance the business’s reach, customer engagement, and satisfaction
  • The innate drive to do things better - both on a macro and a micro level - strong problem-solving skills, creativity to develop new possibilities and processes
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills to support cross-functional teams in delivering results. Thanks to your moderation skills at interfaces such as between procurement and product owners, with internal and external partners, you create a cross-team understanding of the goals, the product and the planned sales development
  • The courage of an entrepreneur with pronounced analytical and problem-solving skills, also to prioritize according to characteristics of increasing efficiency and to deal efficiently with decentralized structures
  • Quick comprehension and comprehension of complex relationships, structured and independent way of working, paired with a high degree of initiative and responsibility
  • Empathy, authenticity, integrity, commitment, resilience, respect and tact in dealing with employees, business partners and other stakeholders
  • Fluent in English and German

In general the position is assigned to the company headquarters in Cologne, but can also be agreed as another location position, in Germany. 
The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
