BUSINESS UNIT
At HRS we understand Finance as a value-enabling function as it is an essential ingredient to our business success. In order to ensure the efficient financial management and financial control necessary to support all business activities, it comprises all major related responsibilities: from Financial and Cash Flow Management, Accounting, Advising and longer-term financing, Tax Management, Investment Management, to Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting and Forecasting as well as Financial Reporting and Analysis to assisting and challenging the CEO, Business Unit Leaders and Managers in making key strategic decisions.
The department is set up as a shared service for the HRS Group with a cross-location team of around 40 experts, headed by the CFO and his Management Team, working on standardized workflows to increase efficiency on the one hand and apply state of the art decision-making tools and principle-based recommendations to foster organizational resilience in times of rapid change on the other.
POSITION
Join our Finance Team as a Lead Procurement Manager (all genders) and take on exciting and diverse responsibilities. You will design, implement, and optimize procurement processes at HRS on a global scale, driving initiatives from data analysis to contract negotiations while supporting the rollout of new processes at both operational and strategic levels. The role can be based in Cologne or Berlin.
CHALLENGE

Take responsibility for orchestrating key strategic and operational procurement processes across the HRS Group.

Continuously monitor procurement volumes within your initiatives, identify optimization potential, define sourcing strategies, and realize measurable savings.

Develop and execute efficient, holistic category sourcing strategies in close, transparent collaboration with key stakeholders.

Standardize procurement processes across the Group to ensure alignment and efficiency.

Focus on supplier management and optimization of the supplier landscape.

Manage interfaces with other departments—effective cross-functional collaboration will be a key part of your daily work.

Support the implementation of the SAP S/4HANA project.

Engage across the entire external and internal supply chain, including operational processes for international locations (e.g., SAP usage).

Utilize digital tools and software solutions to drive process automation and digitalization.

Enhance documentation quality throughout the procurement process and ensure alignment with budgeting and controlling processes.

Contribute to our extensive sustainability initiatives—from concept to implementation.
FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration or a comparable qualification, ideally with a focus on business or procurement.

Several years of experience in consulting or within a procurement department.

Strong negotiation skills and a hands-on, results-driven approach.

Excellent presentation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

An independent, organized, and structured way of working.

High flexibility and resilience under pressure.

Motivation to work autonomously while managing multiple projects toward defined objectives.

Ideally (though not mandatory), experience working with SAP S/4HANA.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in German and English; additional languages are an advantage.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE
The position is based in Cologne or Berlin, combined with travelling to HQ (Cologne). The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
