HRS’ legal team is a central service provider in the HRS group dedicated to deliver solid, pragmatic and fast legal advice to senior management and all key functions of the HRS business worldwide.



This is a new position and opportunity to develop expert role within the HRS’ legal team. We are seeking a confident, curious and self-motivated lawyer based in Germany (ideally Cologne area) to join the growing HRS Legal team who will work closely with others stakeholders in the global HRS organization. This is a generalist role but with a high focus on customer and supply contracts, B2B relationships, all matters relating to hotel/customer relationships, distribution agreements, general commercial and legal matters.



  • Draft and negotiate international, commercial agreements with a focus on corporate customers, hotel partners, strategic partnerships, supply distribution, new initiatives, software development, RfPs, marketing, and public relations
  • Provide well-reasoned, yet practical legal advice on a wide-range of legal and business matters and processes
  • Design key agreements, manage HRS’ contract fleet, handle disputes and drive continual improvement and innovation
  • As a true business partner, you maintain regular communication with key business teams, including senior level management, global sales, product, and marketing teams, and external counsel
  • Contribute to new policies, procedures, training, and templates with the goal of fostering efficiency and compliance
  • Provide sound legal advice in other fields of the law e.g. intellectual property, privacy, competition law
  • Manage daily legal matters and disputes independently



  • 3-7 years post qualified experience
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and legal drafting in English
  • Qualified lawyer/attorney with current entitlement to practice
  • Strong academic credentials, top-tier law firm experience plus prior in-house and significant contracting and commercial experience
  • Experience in dealing with general commercial contracting matters, software development and service agreements (SaaS), B2B relationships, procurement and disputes. This role will be the primary contact for all supply related matters for the HRS sales teams
  • Expertise and proven experience in areas like data protection, competition law, anti-trust, or banking regulatory is considered a plus
  • Interest in technology and fast-pace innovations
  • A structured, independent and goal-oriented working style - focusing on fast and flawless execution
  • Proactive, self-driven and hands-on with a core ability to solve – not only flag - problems, make the complex simple and standardize workflows and processes
  • Ability to work independently from intake through execution and work closely with business partners on solutions with support when needed
  • Ability to forge trusted relationships and collaborate with colleagues around the world
  • Experience with travel industry is a plus, but not mandatory
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
  • A good sense of optimism and humor

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
