We are looking for a Cologne or Berlin based Data Engineer - Marketing Automation (m/f/d) who helps integrating our next-generation Customer Data Platform with Marketing channels, enabling optimal leverage of data finding in marketing campaigns.


Your challenge

  • Work on analyzing, understanding, challenging and documenting requirements towards the audience- and data-driven personalization initiatives across multiple marketing channels of HRS Group together with audience experience- and marketing teams.
  • Translate requirements into technical designs and ensure integration between Customer Data Platform and marketing channels through state-of-the-art cloud technologies for data engineering.
  • Develop reporting solutions helping track campaign success and optimize campaign setup and steering.
  • Collaborate with Audience Experience, Content and Data Science teams to develop content fragment performance framework following best-practices, latest trends, and ensuring all marketing communications (email, ppc, display, push notifications) follow the same framework
  • Work together with the management team to continuously refine and develop HRS Group’s audience analytics capabilities and audience strategies


Your commitment

  • A degree in business computer science, mathematics, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
  • Proven hands-on experience in data engineering, frontend development, or marketing automation.
  • Superior expertise in JavaScript, HTML, Python, and SQL
  • Very good knowledge of marketing automation, customer journey design, and general automation possibilities
  • Knowledge of cloud environments such as AWS, GCP, Azure
  • Ideally, experience with analytical CRM, CDPs, Marketing Automation, or integrated Sales & Marketing setups.
  • Ideally experiences with solutions, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Google BigQuery, and Apache Airflow
  • Sound project campaign management capabilities, and commercial awareness.
  • Fluent in English.
