BUSINESS UNIT

At HRS we understand Finance as a value-enabling function as it is an essential ingredient to our business success. In order to ensure the efficient financial management and financial control necessary to support all business activities, it comprises all major related responsibilities: from Financial and Cash Flow Management, Accounting, Advising and longer-term financing, Tax Management, Investment Management, to Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting and Forecasting as well as Financial Reporting and Analysis to assisting and challenging the CEO, Business Unit Leaders and Managers in making key strategic decisions. 
The department is set up as a shared service for the HRS Group with a cross-location team of around 40 experts, headed by the CFO and his Management Team, working on standardized workflows to increase efficiency on the one hand and apply state of the art decision-making tools and principle-based recommendations to foster organizational resilience in times of rapid change on the other.

POSITION

We are looking for a Cologne based Team Lead Global Accounting (all genders) to lead a team of accounting professionals and drive overall accounting process optimization. 

You will report directly to the Vice President Finance while working closely with various stakeholders across the Group.

 

CHALLENGE

•    Responsibility for the preparation of the consolidated annual, quarterly and monthly financial statements of the HRS Group
•    Ensure the reporting of the subsidiaries as part of the reporting processes
•    Supporting the foreign subsidiaries in all accounting issues
•    Preparation of monthly bank reporting and other ad hoc reports
•    Operational execution of the consolidation, the preparation of intercompany recharges and the handling of day-to-day business
•    Securing the continuous improvement of accounting processes
•    Contact person for auditors and tax advisors of the foreign subsidiaries
•    Leading and coaching of a team of up to 3 people

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

•    Completed university degree with a background in business administration or a comparable apprenticeship. Additional qualification as a certified (international) accountant is an advantage
•    Comprehensive professional experience in a leadership position in the area of group accounting with complex group structures
•    In-depth knowledge of accounting and external reporting standards (in particular with regard to accounting standards according to HGB and IFRS) and tax issues
•    Experience in international tax audits and internal group consolidation processes
•    Knowledge of cross-border transfer pricing systems
•    Excellent knowledge of SAP, LucaNET and MS Office is an advantage
•    Fluent in German and English, written and spoken
