Procurement Consulting: The Procurement Consulting team is responsible for creating and managing the lodging and meeting programs for our DACH-based customers in a global environment. We always strive to add maximum value to our customers through deep industry expertise, best-practices, benchmarks, and understanding of trends, to further improve the program and to position HRS as the top supplier in the segment.
Supplier Solution: The Supplier Solution team is responsible for managing and developing our supplier ecosystem of global and regional hotel chains as well as independent hotels and management companies. We aim to be the partner of choice for the hospitality market through our superior value proposition compared to legacy industry players leaning on our TravelTech to simplify collaboration across all ecosystem players.
 

POSITION


We are looking for a German-based Vice President Procurement Consulting & Supplier Solutions DACH (all genders) who will not only play a pivotal role in shaping our consulting and procurement approach but also in shaping the future landscape of the industry. It's not just a job – it's an opportunity to be part of something truly extraordinary.

The position is located as an important interface between the requirements and needs of the customers as well as the supplier community and will work hand-in-hand with the DACH sales organization for business development and delivery. The incumbent will lead and develop a team of strategic consultants, analysts, and supplier account and experience managers in close collaboration with the global procurement consulting, strategic supplier, and supplier solution teams.
 

CHALLENGE

As VP Procurement Consulting and Supplier Solutions you will:

  • Pioneering Procurement Strategy: Craft a groundbreaking procurement strategy for F500 clients with focus on excellence and innovation. Develop vertical industry expertise and promote this in the dynamic DACH market
  • Orchestrating the supplier ecosystem: Define HRS’ supplier strategy and develop your network and relationships within the local hospitality market and communicate HRS’s value proposition to the market.
  • Convergence Catalyst: Spearhead the convergence revolution, bundling disparate segments - transient, extended stay, groups, and small meetings - to reduce complexity and increase buying power.
  • Elevating Traveler Experience: Develop the next level traveler experience for HRS’ participating supply partners by showcasing the superior value proposition and establish HRS as a strategic partner of choice for the business travel segment.
  • Market Ambassador: Act as the face to the market for the HRS procurement practice and the hospitality supplier ecosystem in DACH and represent HRS on numerous industry, customer, and supplier events.
  • Selling Personality: Support the DACH market in defining the go-to-market strategy and develop promotion strategy to support HRS procurement’s awareness and be the executive sponsor of strategic accounts and hunting activities.
  • Collaborative Innovation Engine: Enhance the current way of working by piloting new procurement concepts like AI based persona segmentation, attribute-based-buying etc..
  • End-to-end view: Bridge the customer and supplier perspective and drive the procurement and supplier solutions team to maximize impact 
     

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • A successfully completed university degree, preferably MBA in the field of business administration.
  • 10+ years of experience in leading project management in a management or procurement consultancy with a focus on travel segments (Hospitality preferred)
  • Dexterity to understand and manage complex ecosystems and to develop strong relationships with customers as well as suppliers.
  • Proven ability to build a strong network in an industry, preferably an existing network in the German hospitality market.
  • Excellent leadership and coaching skills. Record of accomplishment of inspiring and motivating others to achieve result that exceed what was believed to be possible.
  • Unparalleled interpersonal and communications skills to inspire prospects and to help vocalize and pitch the HRS value proposition to the market (proven public speaking a must). In other words, be a great storyteller!
  • Proficiency in analyzing and understanding customer situations by interpreting data and identifying trends – and linking to your employer’s solutions.
  • The ability to keep up with a fast-paced internal environment where products and solutions evolve quickly and need to be accurately integrated into customer journeys as the solutions evolve. Embracing change is a must!
  • Talented at understanding complex interdependencies, implementing relevant metrics to steer the desired outcome and to derive initiatives to improve those metrics across the HRS ProcureTech ecosystem.
  •  Fluency in German and English, spoken and written

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.

The Position can be based in any location within Germany.
