At HRS, Finance shall be more than just a department—it's the backbone of our business triumphs. From Financial and Cash Flow Management, to Accounting, Long-Term Financing, Tax Management, Investment Strategy, Purchasing, Controlling, Budgeting, Forecasting, and comprehensive Financial Reporting and Analysis. In an ideal scenario, Finance is not just crunching numbers but act as strategic partners who advise and challenge the CEO, Business Unit Leaders, and Managers in their pivotal decisions. 
Operating as a shared service across the vast HRS Group landscape, the team of approximately 40 experts thrives on collaboration. Guided by the CFO and his adept Management Team, they are all about efficiency through standardized workflows and leverage cutting-edge decision-making tools and principle-based insights to bolster the company´s resilience in times of rapid change.

POSITION

Join us as the Vice President Finance (all gender) and lead the transformation of our financial landscape. In this role, you will oversee Accounting, Treasury, and Accounts Receivable, ensuring the application of global standards across the HRS Group. You will spearhead strategic finance projects across all divisions, optimize business processes within Finance Operations, and drive digitalization initiatives to enhance financial processes.

The ideal candidate is an experienced strategic finance manager with strong analytical skills, a pragmatic and versatile approach, and the agility to navigate through uncertainty and risk. You should be able to deliver precise and persuasive communication and foster collaboration across the organization and countries.

CHALLENGE

  • Financial Leadership: Lead the accounting, treasury and tax teams and/or experts, shaping the financial strategy.
  • Oversee Accounting: Oversee the accounting and preparation of monthly and annual accounts of all global subsidiaries (>30 entities). Act as the central coordinator for all local and global accounting matters, collaborating with colleagues, management, auditors, and tax lawyers. The expertise in transitioning to International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) will be essential in guiding the team to the next level. 
  • Corporate Tax: Oversee VAT and year-end tax returns, and establish internal control policies to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance.
  • Group Consolidation: Responsible for the Group Consolidation and preparation of the consolidated Group Accounts.
  • Accounts Receivable: Maintain a strong and efficient AR system from billing to dunning.
  • ERP Environment: Play a vital role in the enhancement of the global accounting and ERP environment in setting standards and ensuring proper application.
  • KPI Optimization: Analysis, management and optimization of KPIs, processes and infrastructure in your area of responsibility.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Optimize reporting and cash flow forecasting using an integrated Data Lake approach to predict cash needs with 1% variance.
  • Stakeholder Management: Manage relationships with partner for externals, e.g. auditors, tax advisors, banks, etc.
  • Impairment Testing: Conduct impairment testing for foreign entities and subsidiaries.
  • Process Improvement: Enhance monthly closing, forecasting, and budget planning.
  • Technology Integration: Implement advanced accounting and treasury technologies.
  • Change Management: Lead accounting standards and process transformations.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting and/or Management Accountant certification would be appreciated or related field. Proven experience, several years, in a similar financial leadership role, preferably in a tech/SaaS or fast-growing company.
  • Background: Background from a consultancy and/or accounting firm, with several years of experience in Group Accounting / Consolidation (> 5 years in senior role).
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Highly accomplished subject matter expert with an in-depth knowledge in IFRS and HGB, ERP Systems (SAP) and consolidation tools highly appreciated
  • Hands-On Mentality, Change Management & Transformation Experience: Demonstrated hands-on approach with attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, pragmatic decision-making, and a proven record in leading team and process transformations.
  • Consulting Expertise: Strong background in consulting business units and markets.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership, with a proven ability to lead distributed teams & get things done.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in German and English, spoken and written.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The position is based in HQ (Cologne) with an Hybrid working model. The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
