BUSINESS UNIT

HRS' Product Management department is a critical function in driving the success of the company's Lodging-as-a-Service (LaaS), Meeting-as-a-Service (MaaS) and Workforce-as-a-Service (WaaS) platform offerings. The department collaborates with cross-functional teams to define the product vision, roadmap, and strategy, and prioritizes features using analytics and data to meet business goals and deliver an exceptional experience for stakeholders.

The teams in the Product Management department at HRS own the program backlog, define product increments and releases, and are responsible for the product vision, roadmap, pricing, licensing, and ROI. They have strong business and technical knowledge and excellent communication and prioritization skills.

The department operates based on HRS' leadership principles, putting the customer view first and striving for customer success over commercial success. They think and act big, challenging the status quo, and constantly leaving their comfort zones to achieve growth. As coaches, they hire the ones most likely to win and help develop team members to become the best through radical candid feedback.

Product Managers at HRS are learning pioneers, continually seeking to improve processes, products, commercial models, technologies, and ways of working. They take ownership of the entire customer experience, seeking truth and committing to decisions once they are made. To succeed in the role, candidates must possess strong business and technical know-how, prioritize tasks accurately, and have excellent communication skills. They must also have an up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends and technologies and be comfortable presenting their ideas to internal stakeholders.

POSITION

As a Product Manager on the travel tech team, you will play a central role in shaping the future of corporate travel. The travel tech team is responsible for the end-to-end customer experience of travelers, agents, and meeting planners through various online tools and APIs. You will work closely with design, engineering, sales, and marketing to define and build comprehensive solutions that enable corporate travelers at scale and unlock revenue opportunities.

CHALLENGE

  • Build consumer-grade products that ensure friction-free experiences for our travelers throughout their entire trip, from searching to post-booking.
  • Work with our ecosystem partners to help them understand how our solutions create impact for their business, demonstrate that value through key business metrics, and show them how to improve that value over time.
  • Identify new product opportunities and drive a comprehensive roadmap informed by data analysis, qualitative research, customer feedback, and market/technology trends.
  • Collaborate externally with other ecosystem partners to develop custom, scalable integrations that align with their unique needs while supporting our mission and objectives.
  • Demonstrate a strong familiarity with developing external APIs and the ability to build within a partner's existing ecosystem, enhancing their overall experience.
  • Work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where ambiguity is constant, exercising autonomy to drive product innovation and make strategic decisions.
  • Apply common decision-making frameworks to evaluate opportunities and risks, drafting proposals through narrative/PRQs to communicate and guide these decisions.
  • Develop a long-term vision and product strategy aligned with our objectives, communicating effectively with senior leaders internally and externally to get buy-in and align teams towards executing the strategy.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Outcomes-driven with a bias for action and undaunted by multiple dependencies, both internal and external.
  • At least 5+ years of product management experience in a software product, preferably within SaaS, marketplace, or e-commerce industry.
  • An analytical, metrics-based approach to identifying, sizing, and solving problems, with excellent skills in identifying and prioritizing high-impact initiatives.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate customer problems and drive alignment with cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • An experimentation mindset to come up with hypotheses, test them quickly, and ship features globally.
  • Equally comfortable diving into technical details with an engineer, iterating on a Figma with a designer, or breaking down a funnel with a data analyst.
  • A scrappy, get-things-done attitude to make your product and team successful, whether that means writing a QA plan or investigating the root cause of a customer support ticket.
  • Familiarity with SQL, and data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy/Tableau for product analysis
