The HRS Business Travel Club (BTC) is the Business Unit managing and developing the HRS E-Commerce platforms of the well-known hotel portal businesses of HRS.de and HOTEL.DE that gradually transform into much more than “just” a platform. BTC provides its members, individual business travelers and SMEs, with a distinct range of exclusive services, which shape tomorrow´s upgraded travel experience. The goal of BTC is to deliver growth as well as sustainable profitability over time by enhancing customer loyalty between the brand and its customers, enabling the Brands Repositioning in the marketplace and unlocking additional potentials via optimized supplier management. Thus, BTC and its products, plays an important role in HRS´s DACH strategy as it revolves around a disruption of the interplay between hotel and workplace supply and e-commerce and a domination of the Business Travel DACH market. Your mission is to further develop and shape the "The HRS Business Travel Club" and its solutions and make it the next innovation of the HRS Group together with a great team.

POSITION

We are looking for an experienced Product Owner with technical background (all genders) to join our global development teams to innovate and improve the business travel experience. You will play a key role in developing comprehensive software solutions for the HRS ecosystem. This includes hyper-personalized accommodation bookings, flexible workspace reservations and on-the-go payments as part of a product ecosystem that puts the customer first. This Product Owner role requires a candidate with a strong background in product management and a keen understanding of technical development, particularly in creating scalable and robust solutions that support a dynamic, personalized travel experience and contribute to the company's vision of becoming the mobile travel companion for business travellers.

CHALLENGE

Together with your team you take the customer view first and raise the bar in delivering business travel solutions:

• Lead cross-team collaboration to ensure that high-level concepts and engineering practices are seamlessly integrated into our product development efforts
• Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders and other product owners to identify new features and user stories needed to enhance or build applications, focusing on new initiatives as well as large, complex development projects
• Champion quality throughout the product lifecycle, emphasising aspects such as security, reliability, testability and maintainability to ensure our products meet the highest standards
• Driving innovation within the team by continually proposing new ideas for our processes, tools and technologies to ensure we remain at the forefront of industry developments and maintain our competitive edge
• Play a key role in the strategic planning and visioning of our products, ensuring that development efforts are aligned with company goals and deliver maximum value to our users

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

• 3+ years in a product management role with a proven track record of successful product development, preferably in an engineering or related field. While direct Java development experience is not required, a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle and principles is essential
• Deep knowledge of modern software engineering principles, patterns and best practices, including an understanding of microservice and serverless architectures, to communicate effectively with the development team and make informed decisions
• Experience in conceptualising, designing and deploying products using restful APIs to ensure seamless integration and interaction within our ecosystem
• Familiarity with cloud-native data storage and processing systems, with hands-on experience developing and deploying solutions on the AWS cloud, enhancing our ability to deliver scalable and robust products
• A strong foundation in working with both relational and non-relational data stores, contributing to the product's ability to effectively manage diverse data
• Exposure to and understanding of the challenges of building fault-tolerant, high-availability distributed systems, enabling the creation of reliable and resilient product offerings
• Exceptional teamwork skills, a quick learner and a passion for driving the development of innovative products that meet and exceed user expectations
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual or multi-year bonus.
