Legal Counsel - Labour & Employment Law (m/f/d)
We are looking for a Cologne based Legal Counsel Employment Law (m/f/d) with a focus on employment law for the international HRS Group activities
Your challenges
- Provide excellent, pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice in all areas of employment law, including the whole employment process from hiring to off-boarding and co-determination matters as a proactive sparring partner for our People Solutions & Management Team
- Develop and implement best practices & policies to ensure compliance with applicable regulations at local and international levels
- Draft and negotiate a variety of employment¬-related and collective agreements and HR policies with the relevant works councils
- Develop and implement Group standards for employment contracts, templates and other labor law terms and processes
- Manage employment related litigation in Germany & coordinate employment related litigation in other jurisdictions with external counsels
- Further development of a group-wide, cost-efficient and excellent network of external law firms and consultants in the field of labor law
- Provide advice on employment safety & employee health related questions
- Stay apprised of best practices, trends and developments in labor/employment law and apply them to the business
Your commitment
- Excellent academic degree with focus on employment law and profound knowledge in contract law
- 3+ years of proven professional experience in the field of labor law, ideally in a multinational group environment or an international law firm
- Knowledge in German employment/labor practices; litigation experience a plus
- Excellent German, fluency in English, verbal and written; other languages such as French or Spanish also welcome
- Superb oral and written communication skills with the ability to analyze, organize, and present facts, evidence and related materials effectively in both written and oral forms
- Understanding of economic contexts and technical processes as well as very good negotiation skills
- Independent, structured and proactive way of working skills combined with a hands-on team player mentality
- Sensitivity to the special needs of an owner-managed medium-sized company in an extremely dynamic environment
