BUSINESS UNIT

The HRS PAY business unit is hyper-focused on driving not only the HRS “flywheel” via the powerful combination of STAY and PAY, but also our own PAY flywheel whereby both corporate clients and third-party partners benefit from leveraging HRS PAY’s technology and capabilities. The more corporate clients use PAY, the more third-party partners such as banks, card issuers, ERPs, booking platforms and other financial service providers want to partner and collaborate with us, and this drives further commercial growth for PAY by monetizing those partnership streams. HRS PAY is a “tech fin” in that we provide the technology that powers the payment workflow as well as delivers the highest level of available payment data to enable our customers to make intelligent decisions around their program spending. POSITION

The Product Manager Payment APAC (all genders) will drive and lead the product definition, scope and delivery of payment services primarily for China, both domestically and internationally. You'll improve and adapt our delivery processes and create reliable and strong roadmaps. Our ideal Product Manager will have proven experience and knowledge of product management in the FinTech and payments industry, with a focus on payment processing and alternative payment methods (APMs). In addition, a deep understanding of local payment providers such as WeChat, YeePay and a strong understanding of regulatory requirements in a B2B context.

You will be part of a team with very experienced colleagues directly reporting to the Chief Product Officer PAY

CHALLENGE

  • Product Oversight: Understand the client environment, determine the client’s interfaces and identify client responsibilities developing innovative, cross-functional strategic solutions to meet customer needs. Manage all aspects of in-life products (new/only the extension of the existing product), including customer feedback, requirements and issues until the handover to operations.
  • Strategic Insight: Translate business strategy into product strategy. Ensure the product can be used as standard. Stay informed about the regulatory landscape and market trends in the APAC region in Payments and invoicing (E-Fapiao). Ensure compliance with local regulations while designing and delivering products.
  • Financial Management: Own the product roadmap and manage product profitability & budget.
  • Initiative Implementation: Ensure customer requirements are properly understood, documented and articulated with Product Owner and Development Teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Manage Application Testing, Implementation and support for Operational Readiness. Utilizing your ability to manage major technological changes with stakeholders at the end user level - change request management. 
  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and their regions, bolstered by global and regional teams.
  • Value Proposition Mastery: Develop solution design/interface/product as per customer requirements including handover/demo to the customer.

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • Professional Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience as a Product Manager in technical/platform teams, ideally in Payment Industry. Experience in driving roadmap strategy, definition, and execution, leading initiatives from ideation to adoption in a highly cross-functional environment. Strong capability to collaborate with and support the engineering team.

  • Analytical Prowess: Skill in deriving strategic discussions from diverse data sources, coupled with a knack for fostering client relations through crafted storylines.
  • Communication: Proficiency in presenting at executive and C-levels, paired with experience leading dynamic multinational teams towards outstanding results.
  • Adaptability & Innovation: Capable of thriving in fast-paced environments, driving innovation, and navigating multicultural matrix organizations with a structured, goal-oriented approach. Experience in making informed decisions based on engineering/platform KPIs and internal user research data. Strong capability to identify and mitigating risks, as well as to handle operational matters with a hands-on/pragmatic approach.

LOCATION, MOBILITY, INCENTIVE

The Product Manager Payment Solution APAC is based in Shanghai. The attractive remuneration is in line with the market and, in addition to a fixed monthly salary, all necessary work equipment and mobility, will also include an annual bonus.
