BUSINESS UNIT

TravelTech enables travelers to search and book hotel and meeting room content via modern SAAS booking portals and APIs. Our mission is to provide high quality content and an outstanding user experience to the traveler on the one side and compliance and cost savings for the cooperate travel programs on the other side.

POSITION

We are looking for a Mid-level Java Backend Engineer (all genders) who loves to build top notch SAAS application delivering an outstanding user experience for Travelers and customers.

CHALLENGE

  • Evolve, enhance and improve a set of large scale APIs which are maintained by hundreds of partners worldwide.
  • Maintain applications, as well as refactor and completely reengineer them to state-of-the-art SAAS applications.
  • Ensure a high level of quality and maintainability.
  • Operate and maintain AWS and other cloud infrastructure.
  • Support requirement engineering – influence architectural and design decisions.
  • Stabilize, improve and refactor service layers and data models.
  • Work on one of our core systems and develop extranet applications.
  • Leverage generative Al tools such as GitHub Copilot, Amazon Code Whisperer, etc., to accelerate software delivery

FOR THIS EXCITING MISSION YOU ARE EQUIPPED WITH...

  • 3 or more years of experience in back-end development with focus on Java and Spring Boot.
  • 3 or more years of experience in IT operations with focus on building cloud-based/cloud-native architecture on AWS.
  • 3 or more years of experience in working with infrastructure as code: AWS CloudFormation, AWS CDK and Terraform.
  • 3 or more years of experience in CD/CI: Jenkins, Git, Gerrit.
  • the perfect candidate also has hands on experience with front-end development focusing on HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript and ReactJS.
  • Full understanding of the SCRUM methodology.
  • Full understanding of software architectures: Monolithic and Microservice.
  • Full understanding of web services: REST and SOAP.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
